Tian'anmen Square

Tian¡¯anmen Square is the largest square in the world. It measures 880 meters from north to south, 500 meters from east to west covering an area of 440,000 square meters.

There are many great and grand buildings in this broad Square. In the north lies the Tian¡¯anmen Gate and in the south are Qianmen and Chairman Mao Memorial Hall. In the center of the Square stands the Monument to the People¡¯s Heroes. The Great Hall of the People and Museum of Chinese Revolutionary History stand on the east and west sides, respectively. All of these are worth a visit.

Now, Tian¡¯anmen, with its incredible size, incomparable majesty and beautiful surroundings, attracts a large number of visitors from home and abroad.
